About Us
Our Story
Before starting Heuss Land Management, Alan worked a cattle farm, then moved into the heavy equipment construction industry. With over a decade of experience, he worked on large-scale dirt work projects & for a major pipe company. Alan spent three years with one of Indiana’s largest construction companies, specializing in finish work on interstates, highways, and municipal roads across the state.
Starting a business had always been a dream for Alan and his wife, Emily. Emily previously owned a successful promotional product business for three years before the couple relocated to Vidalia, GA, to be closer to aging grandparents. That move sparked the beginning of Heuss Land Management—founded in late 2020 and officially opened in 2021.
Today, Alan and Emily are proud to serve Vidalia, Toombs County, and surrounding areas, offering reliable and professional services including site prep, grading, land clearing, brush mowing, drainage solutions, driveway installation, and more. From small residential work to large-scale land development, HLM is committed to quality results on every job.
In addition to running Heuss Land Management, They own Alston Design Co., a local business specializing in custom-made signs and promotional products—bringing creativity and craftsmanship to homes and businesses across South Georgia.
